Rusty's Run is more than just a wine; it’s a tribute to a beloved canine companion who once roamed the property. Each label features a black-and-white photograph of our vineyard, carefully embedded within a silhouette of Rusty. With every new vintage, we celebrate Rusty’s legacy by presenting a different profile of him on the label, keeping his memory alive in a unique and heartfelt way.
Expressions
Launched in 2021, the Expressions label celebrates the synergy between wine and art at Winmark. Each year, an exhibiting artist in the Winmark Art Gallery, draws inspiration from the breathtaking landscape and vibrant culture of our property. The result is an original piece of artwork that graces the wine’s label for one vintage, offering a true expression of creativity born from their inspiration when visiting Winmark. This initiative reflects our commitment to nurturing art and honouring the profound connection between nature and human ingenuity.
Single Vineyard Reserve
The Single Vineyard Reserve is a nod to our roots, with the first vintage debuting in 2018. The label honours the original Poole’s Rock property with a striking and contemporary illustration. After 50 iterations, starting with a watercolour version, we finally captured the essence of the property: an image that beautifully showcases Poole’s Rock, framed by the majestic mountain range. This wine and its label are a tribute to the heritage and natural beauty of our vineyard.
Icon 7 2
The journey of Icon 7 2 began in 2021. This wine is crafted from 18 rows of the historic Penfolds clone P58, a block of vines that turned 50 years old in 2022. The label, with its bold black and gold design, features raised numerals
“7” as portrait and “2”as horizontal to encourage the use of the name Seven Two (and not Seventy-two). The numbers are cut from a drone image of the vines, symbolising the unique heritage of this extraordinary wine. Icon 7 2 is a celebration of half a century of winemaking excellence, encapsulating the richness of our terroir and the legacy of these remarkable vines.
A Look to the Future: Blanc de Blanc
In 2025, we’ll unveil our Blanc de Blanc, marking an exciting new chapter in our winemaking journey. As we finalise the label design, we’re dedicated to creating something that embodies the elegance and sophistication of this sparkling wine.
