For a memorable wine tasting experience, let us take you on a journey through the complex and delicious flavour profiles that Chardonnay represents. Often referred to as ‘the winemaker’s grape’ the Chardonnay in your glass is a true expression of the unique terroir. No other single grape lends itself to such a diverse range of flavours and textures and we’re excited to take you through the many styles of ‘The Queen of Whites’. You’ll discover fresh, crisp and fruity styles like Rusty’s Run, right through to the more complex styles with noticeable oak influence and creamy textures of a classic Chardonnay.
Wine Tastings
Wine Tastings are $15 per person and include tastings of 5 Hunter Valley Chardonnays, sparkling water, apricots, almonds, and award-winning estate grown olives. The cost of your tasting is redeemable when 3 or more bottles are purchased per person.

Loving every minute? Why not prolong your wine tasting experience with a gourmet hamper bursting with local produce and enjoy the views and the atmosphere a little longer. Wine is also available by the glass, so once you’ve tasted them all, enjoy a glass of your new favourite, while you’re still with us. We can provide a picnic rug for you to enjoy the beautiful surround, or you may enjoy your hamper at the cellardoor. All produce in our freshly made hampers are of the highest quality and sourced locally. Hampers must be pre-booked to ensure you don't miss out.

Originally Poole’s Rock’s Wine storage shed, our cellar door was reimagined in 2020, providing a beautiful setting to relax and taste the fruits of our labour, while overlooking our certified sustainable vineyard. Floor to ceiling glass for viewing, along with air conditioning mean that even in the most extreme weather conditions, you’ll get the full Winmark experience in comfort.
For nature lovers, our alfresco area offers plenty of outdoor seating with uninterrupted views of the vines, The Rock (Poole’s Rock), and the mountain range flanked by native casuarina trees. You’ll hear the birds’ song and likely see a kangaroo tend to her joey while you visit.
Wine Tasting for Groups
If you’re part of a group of over 10 people who would like to taste our Hunter Valley Chardonnays, please take a moment to book in advance so that we can give you the best service. If your group is looking for a relaxed place to enjoy a wine and cheese and catch up, you’re welcome to order wine by the bottle or glass and prebook some cheese platters. Groups of 10 may be served in Rosie’s alfresco dining area also overlooking the vines.
