Since taking the reins of the former Pooles Rock estate, owner Karin Adcock has seen Winmark Wines gain a lofty reputation as not just a producer of premium Chardonnays, but a destination in its own right.
With the new Cellar Door recently launched, guests to the property are enthusiastically enjoying the Chardonnays produced by this remarkable vineyard. Karin says they have found the overwhelmingly positive response to be quite humbling.
“It’s the team of incredibly talented experts that bring our vineyard to deliver these beautiful Chardonnays that deserve the credit,” said Karin.
But it’s evident this is a team led by a woman with passion, and a fantastic eye for the best utilisation of the property.
Not only can visitors taste wines at the Cellar Door that pay homage to the properties unique history, but guests can now also be mesmerised by a new collection of art and sculptures located throughout the property.
Sculptor David Ball’s monumental Biosis was the first of many sculptures to find their home at Winmark, and with David’s view that ‘Wine and Sculpture both age well,’ it was not long before a second sculpture from his series ‘Celest’ was installed (pictured top).
It will keep good company with the Wollombi Sculpture Festival People’s Choice sculpture ‘Fight or Flight’, and the newly installed ‘Ceramic Lollipops’ (pictured below) and ‘Portals of Illusion’.
