Elisa is a Photographer and Ceramic artist specialising in large format tile murals and ceramic pieces. Elisa worked as a professional photographer for more than 20 years.

In 2012, on a trip to Portugal and Morocco, Elisa fell in love with ceramic tiles, its designs and applications. Practical and beautiful, this intriguing and ancient art is the basis of her passion for ceramics. Incorporating photography into the process came naturally and with the intent to ‘fossilise’ the images, as most things in the digital world are ephemerous. The images are kiln fired onto the hand-made ceramic creating a one of a kind piece.
For the last 6 years Elisa has been studying ceramics with renowned teachers in Australia and overseas, always researching new techniques and experimenting with materials and processes.
Elisa is also a designer and a published illustrator on a collection of children’s books about animals and is currently working on a collaboration for a new book.

In early 2018 Kreyfarer studio was established in the Hunter Valley, NSW
