January 2025 marked the beginning of an exciting season at Winmark Wines as we embarked on our annual grape harvest. It was a time of year that showcased the culmination of months of dedicated work in the vineyard, resulting in the finest fruit destined to become our celebrated wines. Here’s a glimpse into this pivotal moment in the winemaking calendar.

The Hunter Valley’s warm days and cool nights once again provided the perfect climate for nurturing our grapevines. Leading up to the harvest, our viticulture team closely monitored the vines — checking sugar levels, acidity, and overall grape quality. The timing of the harvest was critical, ensuring each block was picked at its peak for optimal flavour and balance.

The 2025 vintage is already shaping up to be exceptional, thanks to favourable weather conditions and diligent care throughout the growing season. As the sun rose over the vineyard, the harvest began, with teams carefully handpicking Chardonnay grapes.
