The beautiful, colourful poppy. What is it really we want to achieve? But how is it with poppies in reality - if you pick them for a bouquet they do not last long. The daffodil is a symbol of breaking with the family educational tradition, so maybe the sad and broken character is finding a way through the anger to a different place? The writing on the print says ‘Trying, trying, trying...trying, always trying” and “Want to - can’t”.

About the Artist: Danish artist Julie Bidstrup creates paintings, lithographs and collages inspired by street art and impressionism. Her artwork is layered by stories, symbolism and contrasts. Changing patterns, chaos, quirky characters and destinies are recurring themes in her works.
