Greer Taylor’s ‘looking in | looking out’ sculpture can be seen dancing across the hillside in Winmark’ s Sculpture Park. To celebrate this new installation, we invite you to join Greer and Winmark Wines’ owner Karin Adcock at our second Artist in Residence High Tea on Monday 2nd December.
Greer whose mother was a potter, established herself as an artist after progressing through the fashion industry, creating her own award winning fashion label but ultimately became an outdoor sculpture artist in 2006. She has won many awards and has installations in many of the best known sculpture parks in Australia.
The new installation at Winmark ‘looking in looking out’ is crafted using automotive paint on aluminium, stainless steel cable and fittings with an overall footprint of approximately 450 x 1000 x 670 cm, makes a statement on the landscape.
The work’s title speaks of the dual activities that takes place between organisms — each looking inside, caring for its own body/its own internal system while at the same time looking out to signal to and connect with other organisms.
Please join us for a stroll in Winmark Sculpture Park from 1pm and hear from Greer what makes her work so special, and this installation so exciting. From 2pm High Tea will be served accompanied by a glass of award winning Winmark Chardonnay or glass of Sparkling Tea, served with sweet and savoury festive inspired High Tea morsels and tea or coffee.
During the High Tea there will be a Q&A Session with Karin Adcock & Greer Taylor which is sure to create some great conversations.
